Friends of Saheed Vassell hug at a protest held on at the corner of Utica Avenue and Montgomery Street in Crown Heights on Thursday April 5, 2018 in New York City, USA.

Plain clothed NYPD officers shot and fatally killed Saheed Vassell at this location the day before, after reports of a man in the area was carrying a gun. Vassell, had been carrying a small metal pipe.
